David Moscato is a paleontologist and science communicator. He first became involved with the Gray Fossil Site as a graduate student at East Tennessee State University. His research focused on fossil small reptiles, including fossil snakes from Gray. After graduating, he transitioned into science writing and informal science education, and ultimately returned to Gray as a science communicator. At the museum, he is now involved in delivering science to the public through educational programs, social media, website content, and more.
